JVR
Jonix Vehicle Runtime
The connected runtime behind a Jonix-powered vehicle computer: digital cluster, infotainment, telemetry, themes, menus, controls, hardware services, and future in-vehicle applications.
One vehicle platform, multiple screens and services
JVR is not only a cluster UI. It is the runtime and hardware abstraction layer that allows the cluster, infotainment, vehicle settings, telemetry, and connected services to behave as one configurable vehicle-computer system.
Vehicle computer runtime
Provide the long-running application and service environment behind the vehicle’s connected digital systems.
Digital instrument cluster
Render accurate gauges, warnings, vehicle state, menus, themes, layouts, and configurable driver information.
Infotainment and controls
Support a separate main display, vehicle settings, media, navigation integrations, status views, and future connected applications.
Hardware abstraction
Separate the UI and applications from the Raspberry Pi, embedded computer, display, CAN, GPIO, and interface hardware beneath them.
Telemetry and diagnostics
Collect vehicle state, runtime health, logs, connection status, and data that can be inspected locally or through Jonix Trace.
Profiles and configuration
Manage vehicle-specific configuration, engines, gearboxes, themes, controls, calibration, and installed capabilities.
JVR connects the car to the rest of Jonix
Jonix VCI and compatible vehicle interfaces provide data and communication. Jonix Trace can inspect, configure, and diagnose the runtime and vehicle. Jonix Garage can retain installed-system and service history. Nucleus can support private synchronization, updates, backups, and device services when the owner enables them.
Example JVR installation

Animated gauges, warnings, menus, trip data, themes, and driver information.
Infotainment display
Vehicle settings, status, media, apps, and detailed information.
Runtime services
Vehicle data, profiles, configuration, health, logging, and application lifecycle.
Physical controls
Steering-wheel buttons, touch, rotary controls, switches, and future voice interaction.
