Jonix Trace
Cross-device automotive software for connecting to vehicle systems, running diagnostics, recording live data, performing supported tests and configuration, and eventually enabling controlled tuning workflows.
Technical workflow
Connect
Use compatible OBD, CAN, or manufacturer-specific interface hardware
Identify
Resolve the vehicle, network, ECUs, and supported capabilities
Inspect
Read faults, live values, freeze frames, and technical state
Act
Run supported tests, resets, adaptations, coding, or calibration work
Record
Preserve reports, logs, files, changes, and before-and-after evidence
Built for technical work with the vehicle
Jonix Trace is not workshop-management software and it is not a generic business platform. Its responsibility is vehicle diagnostics, technical procedures, data analysis, and tuning-related work through supported hardware.
Vehicle and ECU identification
Identify the vehicle, supported control modules, ECU information, communication protocols, and available technical functions.
Fault-code diagnostics
Read, interpret, record, and clear diagnostic trouble codes where the vehicle and connected hardware support the operation.
Live data and logging
Monitor parameters in real time, record diagnostic sessions, compare measurements, and preserve evidence before and after work.
Tests and service procedures
Run supported actuator tests, service resets, guided checks, and manufacturer-specific procedures through compatible interfaces.
Coding and adaptations
Support configuration, relearning, calibration, and adaptation workflows where safely implemented and supported.
Tuning workflows
Develop controlled tools for reading, analysing, modifying, validating, and writing calibration data with appropriate hardware and safeguards.
Capability depends on the vehicle interface
Jonix Trace is the technical software layer. The functions available in a session depend on the connected interface, vehicle protocol, manufacturer access, security requirements, and the maturity of each implemented procedure. Jonix VCI is the intended programmable hardware bridge for deeper ecosystem integration.
Generic adapters can provide an initial path for standard OBD-II scanning and data. Deeper module access, bidirectional tests, coding, and ECU calibration require more capable and carefully supported hardware.
Target devices

Quick scans, monitoring, and connected-vehicle use
Jonix Trace can connect to Jonix Garage without becoming it
Jonix Garage manages the workshop, customers, bookings, vehicles, and work orders. Jonix Trace performs diagnostics and tuning work. Jonix VCI connects the vehicle, while JVR can expose installed runtime state and telemetry. Their integration preserves context while keeping each responsibility clear.
Explore Jonix GarageOpen from a work order
Launch Jonix Trace with the correct vehicle, complaint, and requested technical work.
Return diagnostic evidence
Attach scans, faults, logs, test results, and technician findings to the workshop record.
Preserve tuning history
Record calibration files, versions, checks, measurements, and changes against the vehicle.
Connect through Jonix VCI
Use trusted vehicle-interface hardware for supported communication and technical procedures.
Include JVR context
Inspect runtime health, installed configuration, telemetry, and connected vehicle-computer state.
Keep each product focused
Garage remains operational, Trace remains technical, VCI remains the interface, and JVR remains the vehicle runtime.
Designed for real diagnostic and performance workflows
